About

Education is one of the largest program areas within the philanthropic sector, with an average of 4.6 billion dollars dedicated annually to a multitude of priorities including public school reform, STEM education, parent and family engagement, and college and career readiness.

With generous support from the Arthur Vining Davis Foundation, Foundation Center has developed Foundation Landscapes: Education as a hub of funding data and information for donors, policymakers, and other stakeholders invested in improving education worldwide. With dynamically updated reports, statistics, resources, and news, Foundation Landscapes: Education aims to put the tools, data, and knowledge funders need at their fingertips so they can quickly scan the landscape and make more strategic decisions. This site was formerly called Foundations for Education Excellence.

About Foundation Center

Established in 1956, Foundation Center is the leading source of information about philanthropy worldwide. Through data, analysis, and training, it connects people who want to change the world to the resources they need to succeed. The Center maintains the most comprehensive database on U.S. and, increasingly, global grantmakers and their grants — a robust, accessible knowledge bank for the sector. It also operates research, education, and training programs designed to advance knowledge of philanthropy at every level. Thousands of people visit the Center’s website each day and are served in its five library/learning centers and at more than 470 Funding Information Network locations nationwide and around the world.
